What are differences between Requested Ship Date and Confirmed Ship Date

In SO line, there are 4 field:

- Requested Ship Date

- Requested Receipt Date

- Confirmed Ship Date

- Confirmed Receipt Date

In PO line, there are also Delivery Date and Confirmed Delivery Date.

Normally, I see system just fill Requested Ship Date and Requested Receipt Date. Which scenarios do we use Confirmed Ship Date and Confirmed Receipt Date and how do they impact on transaction ?

Thanks.

    Thanks Nagendra Varmak,

It means that if we input certain date for Confirmed Ship Date and Confirmed Receipt Date, system will only take data from these two fields for running some function instead of taking from Request Ship Date, Request Receipt Date ? Confirmed Ship Date takes place of Request Ship Date ? Is it right ?

    Hi peter,

There might be scenario's where as the below dates make's some scene to use.

    - Requested Ship Date-This is customer requested shipment initiation date for delivery of stock.

    - Requested Receipt Date-This is requested receipt date for which customer receive stock

    - Confirmed Ship Date-- This confirmed ship date, will help to update customer if any changes on requested date and actual ship date.

    - Confirmed Receipt Date--Confirmed delivery date and receipt for customer.

Usually when we use MRP and transport management, these scenarios will occur

    Thanks
