Dynamics 2013 Freezing on Cash Receipts Entry

Hi All - I'm having an issue that I can't seem to find the resolution.

We are running Dynamics 2013 with SQL 2008 R2.

When attempting to run a Cash Receipts Entry (Transactions -> Sales -> Cash Receipts (, Dynamics completely freezes up and won't complete the process. The only way to end it is via the task manager. I've ran check links and it did find some issues and repair them but even after that the problem continues to occur. Aside from the batch entry, all other areas of Dynamics run great. Any idea what could be causing this?

    We were able to resolve the issue by enabling the SQL Profiler as suggested above. That lead to us being able to see Cash Receipts was trying to pull a payment but kept failing.

    Here is what we did to resolve issue.

    1. Create test company with copy of live data first.

    2. Ran the following SQL Script agains DB:

    select MAX(DOCNUMBR) from RM000401 where RMDTYPAL = 9

    That script above will pull the last payment document number. Make note of the DOCNUMBR returned.

    3. Open GP and go into Tools -> Setup -> Sales -> Receivables. Click the options button.

    4. On the Receivables Options Window there are fields for "Next Number" and "Cash Receipts". Basically you want to take the value returned by the script (step 2) and add 1 to it then put that number in the "Next Number" field for Cash Receipts. Ex - If step returned PYMNT00050, you would put PYMNT00051 in the "Next Number" field.

    5. Go to Transactions -> Sales -> Cash Receipts and test.

    please enable DexSQL.log\event log\log scripts\SQL profiler to trace the Freezing Cash Receipt Entry

    I've forgot to add, I've check the server and the CPU and Memory stay quite when attempting the cash receipts entry. The server is running Server 2008 R2 with 10GB RAM.
