Is it anyway in BC 18 SaaS that I can schedule a report to run on schedule and print on printer?

I tried to schedule Inventory - Sales Back Orders to run and print on printer but got the following error message. Got the same error when I tried the same report through Job Queue.

Hi

I received a response back from Microsoft. They confirmed this is "by design" and it is limitation in BC. "This currently is NOT in the works for BC19 and it’s a limitation on the BC18 product." The suggestion was that we submit the idea in https://aka.ms/bcideas and if it gather enough vote then they will add it to the roadmap.

Hi , I have same issue. i guess this is a product limitation. My intention is that to select the printer in the printer section & select email printer. Then report will schedule & send to recipient user automatically based on schedule time period.

let me know if you find any solution to your problem after having discussion with Microsoft or CSP partner.

Thanks for your help

I have done that. When I use "Print" then report print on correct printer. But when I use "Send To" then try to "Schedule" the report and use "Print" instead of "PDF" then I receive this error.

I even scheduled the report in Job Queue and tried "Print" instead of "PDF" and received the same error.

Mahgah,

Have you tried setting up the Printer Selection page for the User and Report? Here you can define a User to a specific report ID and which printer to send too.
