Hi All,

I am trying to import Employee records and updating Financial dimensions for Employee, but when I am running import getting below error:

Results. Cannot edit a record in Employee detail (HcmEmploymentEmployee). 'Expiration' column cannot be updated in change tracking mode.

Please note that only financial dimension fields were updated, but it is giving above error regarding some dates field. Does anyone have any clue about this error and how to resolve this ?

Thanks,

I have the same question (0)

    Hi,

Human Resource data entity has some restriction

Best think to do is, just delete all the fields from the file and just keep your value what you want to update in the data entity with employed identification number such as personal number.

    Try to import.

    Hi Baber,

I found an old thread on same related issue, check that out please to get any hint. Check on LCS as well for any hotfix.

I was thinking of doing the same thing, but thought I would check first. Let me try this.

Did you manage to address this issue?

    Sadiq,

In order to update the Financial dimension for employee, we need to use the HcmEmployment entity. So first we need to import the employees using worker entity and then use the Employment entity to update the Financial dimension and start date for employees. This sequence should work.

Let me know how it goes.

    Thanks,

    Baber.

    Thanks Baber,

Looks like I was doing something wrong earlier, I am able to run the PATCH action to update employee data including dimensions.

    PATCH:

    [Based URL]/data/EmployeesV2(PersonnelNumber='000813',EmploymentLegalEntityId='USMF',EmploymentId='000000931')

From the payload, I only had to remove Party and Name fields. I am even able to terminate the employee using this same entity.
