I'm trying to install the Date Tax Effective feature from the MDGP2010_DVD_withServicePack1 folder I downloaded from Microsoft. I launch the installer but can't see the feature to add it to the Instance of GP.
If I do a fresh install, I can see the feature and install it.
Anyone know how to fix this problem (without re-installing the client from scratch)?

Hello Tim, I have seen a couple of features in GP that you can install them only from the RTM version of the software, then download the proper updates from Partnersource,
I can tell you that the later releases sometimes do not include the 3rd products listed for install, so thats why you need the RTM
No, I can't. That is the problem. The Date Tax Effective feature is not in the list to select when trying to update the current install. I'm guessing it has to do with a regkey that is missing or set wrong. These installs were built by installing a pre-SP1 client and then applying SP1. If I start a fresh install, I am able to see and select the feature. I don't want to have to reinstall these (Production) clients, I just want to add the feature.

Can you install the feature to your current install via Add/Remove Programs?
