Activity Attribute - Created On Date and Time

Hello,

I'm trying to modify the "createdon" attribute to display both the date and time, but cannot.

In the the Activity entity, there is an attribute for "createdon" to show when an activity record was created. If I display this attribute on the view or form, it does not display the time even though the type is set as "datetime".

I saw that the format for the attribute is "Date Only" but it is greyed out.

Can this be changed to Date and Time?

Hi Darrell,

You can't do this in the form. THere are a few work arounds.

In an srs report you can display this as date/time. Also - if seeing the time is a must you could create your own 'createdon' date/time stamp and display this. A 3rd option and slightly unsupported is to use js to change the display type of the text box - this only works the he forms.

Thanks for the reply. Do you have JS code that can display the date and time? If so, would you mind sharing this?

As for your second option, how can I get the date/time to autopopulate with the actual date and time when a record is created?

Build a workflow that runs when the Activity is created that populates that field, and pushes in the current time.
