Visual Studio Error when trying to start new SL project

SL 2011 FP1 on Windows 7 (have tried on both 32-bit and 64-bit with same error) with Visual Studio 2010. When I try to start a new Project using the Dynamics SL project template, I get the following error:

Error: this template attempted to load component assembly 'Micorosft.Dynamics.SL.VSTemplateWizard, Version=8.0.0.0, Culture=Neutral, PublicKeyToken=31bf3856ad364e35'.

I have reinstalled the SL client, repaired the VS2010 installation and still get the error.

Does anyone know how to resolve this?

Hi Jcrickey,

Maybe check c:\windows\assembly to see if "Microsoft.Dynamics.SL.VSTemplateWizard" is listed. It should be.... and should show the publickeytoken of 31bf3856ad364e35.

The client must be installed after the installation of VS. Maybe try and install and reinstall the client and leave VS as it is.

Otherwise would be interested in knowing the edition of Windows 7 and the edition of Visual Studio.
