Unable to Print Purchase Orders

We are currently running Dynamics SL 7.0 FP1, and I've run across an interesting case.  It appears when any user attempts to print/print preview a PO in the "print purchase orders" report, the only ones that will display data within the template is ones marked as a status of "purchase order".  If the PO has a status of "open" or "completed" the data will not be printed.

Has anyone run across this particular issue before, and if so, any ideas for a resolution?  I certainly appreciate any and all assistance with this matter.

Dan

    Hi Dan,

I think this is the normal default 'feature' - once a PO is printed, the status changes from Purchase Order to Open, and it is not included in the report again unless you change the status back to Purchase Order.

I confirmed this in the Help:  "Use the Purchase Order (04.600.00) report to print orders with purchase order status. If you want to print orders with an Open Order status, change their status from Open Order to Purchase Order in Purchase Orders (04.250.00)."

As Laura says, this is working as designed.

The ONLY function of the status of "open" vs. the status of "Purchase order" is whether it will print or not.

When you print a bunch of PO's from the Purchase Order report screen, you get a "keep" screen at the end.  If you say to "keep" then it marks those as printed, and when you go to print PO's again, it will not print them (status of "O")

If you need to reprint one, just change the status in the PO maintenance screen back to "Purchase ORder"

I think there is an option on the "Options" tab to RE-print PO's, meaning it will ignore the "O" status and print anyway (you would of course need to select just the ones you want on the select tab, or you will get ALL the PO's)
