How to manage marketing categories/preferences in Dynamics CRM

Hello,

We are using Dynamics CRM Online 2015.

We are trying to find a way to manage marketing categories (which would be tied to leads/contacts) in which customer can opt in to receive news letters, new releases etc. based on their opt in preferences. Is there any out of the box capability or if some one was able to find a way to achieve this.

I would appreciate your inputs and suggestions. Thanks.

    Hi DJG

There are  Out of the Box Contact Preferences included on CRM to allow leads/contcats to opt out of from recieving Email/ letter / Phone campaigns etc, however you can add your own Opt in in preferences, and use advanced find to check those fields every time you build a Marketing Campaign.

    Best Wishes, Raz

Thanks Raz for your response. We are currently using Contact Preferences to save user opt-in preference. This does save user preference like either opts-in into all marketing categories or not opted in any category. In a way it is Yes or no type. But we would like to categorize their preference based on marketing categories. E.g X campaign belongs to Y marketing category. If use opts in from marketing campaign, then we would like to store his marketing preference as "Opted into Y marketing category and not opted into any other marketing category". So that sales person or any marketing email person, can send any stories released from that marketing category. I hope this helps you get some more insight into our requirement.

    Thanks for you help!

    Hi DJG

So You can Create Advanced Find Filters / Queries for your 'Marketing Categories' based on the optin choices, and use these views when creating your marketing campaigns.

    Does this clarify ?

    Hi DJG,

You can go for advance find filter where you can add condition according to your requirement, while adding members to your marketing list. Please find below snap for your reference

Step1: Add contact record/members to your marketing list.

Step2: Specify advanced find filter condition for the contact records/members that will be added in marketing list

Please Note: if you have marketing list with List type as static then in that case you will have to manually update members list for your marketing list.

Hope this will resolve your issue.
