Additional validation of Sales Line items

Hi,

I need to create additional validation in D365FO to check if items are allowed or not to be entered on sales orders based on some specific criteria. Validation should occur in several different places - when creating sales order lines, when confirming, when invoicing and when picking/packing. I'd like to be efficient and make the least amount of changes. Please suggest some options.

    Hi silentsquirrel,

    Currently the validations that could be made on sale orders happens to be linked with Customer Credit limits. You can assign that criteria on different events. Moreover you can put customers orders on hold using the on hold functionality for sales order.

    If you are looking for a custom job to do this I will suggest you to go for minimal validations which should be aligned under the best practices for other source documents.
