How do I assign Security Role for Maintenance Window/Check Links in GP 2010?

I am currently using MS Dynamics GP 2010 and need to assign access to a financial user to the maintenance/check links screen without compromising security for payroll/HR. I am having difficulty locating the correct security task. Does anyone know offhand which security task would accomplish this goal? Thanks in advance...

    Hi PR,

    please check this.

Create a new task with category as system, product as Dynamics GP,Type as Windows,Series as Company. choose the Check Links. Add the custom security task to the user role.

Create a new task with mark below option and add this task id to new role then assign it to users who wants the checklinks access.

Note: You can only provide the access to Check Links window with all modules. Can't restrict with module level. For module level access use Field Level Security.

    Hope this helps!!!

    Hi

Bear in mind that assigning the user access to the Check Links window allows them to use this across all modules.  There is no option to just give them access to specific part of the window using Security Roles/Tasks.

You can look at section Q4 of the article below:

I haven't tested yet, but maybe you can use Field Level Security to limit the part they can access on the window.
