I have a client who does not want the underscore to show in a blank column which is using the fill ' ' function. Is there a way to do this?

In the row with the format code --- add a reference to the TOT row in the Related Formulas / Rows / Units (i.e. 100) so MR is looking for the value of the TOT to see if it is Zero. Then add the X0 code to the Print Control column. This should work to suppress your underline when the Total is Zero.
this didn't work the X0 code is not valid because it is not a data column. NP also does not work, it just hides the column entirely. I also tried putting 4 spaces in front of the column and making it NP but that didn't work either.
I did use the column restriction and did not enter the fill column and that worked but it is a lot to have to put that on every underscore for every converted report.
I thought there was a prior post on just such a topic, and it seems like the participants in the post got it figured out but it is not clear how. Perhaps one of them can help.

Is there a work around to suppress the under scores for blank columns? I couldn't follow above to the exact solution. Hope someone can help? I am currently using "Fill" column type.
I have deleted the Fill column and added "Extra Spaces Before Column". This worked.
