HTML in Notes on Word Template

Hello

I am using the word template to return notes on using a repeating content control in order to return all of the notes. The issue is it is returning the html tags

How can I prevent this from being returned in the word template?

I turned off the Enable rich text notes in Timeline and this did not resolve the issue for the word template. It also now shows the html tags on the existing notes in the timeline. I turned it back on and html tags are gone in the timeline notes but are still present on the Word Template Export. This is not a report as shown in the other solution but the Word Template option.

The current solution is to turn off Enable rich text notes in Timeline in the system settings.
