I'm looking for advice on what would be considered best practice in regards to user account management in D365 F&O when there is a termination. Is it best to disable account and leave it in the system or is it best to delete the account. Thanks for you time. Tracey
Hi,
Can not tell about the best practice but in my projects we usually disable the user.
The concern is that even as disabled they are taking up a license. Do you know if that is true?
While I don't believe an inactive user would consume a license, I'm not 100% sure.
My recommendation is typically for clients to deactivate the user account in D365, as well as removing all security roles that were assigned to the user.
