Is there a way to make it so users using online CRM can create and run reports?

Most everything online is for onprem.

I have the same question (0)

    Hi,

    Thank you for your query.

Make sure users have permissions on the records on which reports are executed.

Verify their roles and privileges in the records (used in the reports).

Thank you Wahaj.  Yes, the report is very simple.  case records older that 30 days based on reported date.  My user has privileges to do most everything one can do in the application.  She is the manager of the app.  She has CRUD privileges on most tables.

My user cannot run reports (cannot display error)or create reports (privilege error) using the wizard.

    Other things:

All reports are Viewable by: organization.

    Related record types is: Cases

I set the owner of the reports to my user

I set miscellaneous privileges "Publish Reports" and "Add Reporting Services Reports"

Users only have read-only privileges.  All other privileges are inherited from the team to which they belong.  I have run into other issues where this does not work, that the privileges must be on the user itself.  I am checking that.

I always expect too much, like a process like this should be documented somewhere.   Do "this" to allow users to create and run reports.

These types errors have been occurring in powerapps for over 10 years.

Anyone?  some knowledge of run report process?

I also added the read privilege to the Entity and Field in the appropriate security role.

it has been a couple of years and still no resolution to this problem.

The user in question is a super user basically.  many privileges but not quite a System Admin.

We pay a lot of money for this stuff and it just doesn't work or nobody knows how to make it work.  very disappointing.

    UPDATE 1/26/24

I removed all of the assigned security roles and removed the user from all teams.

I added one security role:  System Customizer.

    User can now run reports.

Why this is the case I do not yet know.  Hopefully more to come.
