Management Reporter GP - Create nn income statement by departments

(0) ShareShare
ReportReport
Posted on by

Hi,

I have created individual income statements for each department in my organization. These individual statements have modified the row definitions of our main I/S to included only the desired departments (we have a three digit serial in our account structure for departments).

The column definitions of our reports allow us for period analysis, so that we can compare the base month to others.

I am interested in creating a report that has each of the departments as a column for the desired period only. Is there any way I can do that?

Thank you all for your help.

Thank you!

    Yes!

But you will probably need to use a row definition that does NOT include the department dimension, or at least has all the departments if you need the departments to be on different lines. (You need to be able to pull all the departments with a single row definition)

Then, in the column definition you have a dimension filter on each FD column type.  You can filter each FD column to only pull a specified department or grouping of departments.

So lets say you have 4 departments you want to see side by side.

You would create 4 FD columns that had exactly the same Fiscal year, Period and Periods covered, then use the dimension filter to identify which departments to group in each column.

    Annette,

I am the OP and somehow i wasn't able to access the account with which i posted the question. I think it had something to do with changing jobs and the original account being linked to an account that was disabled after the transition.

Anyways, i wanted to say that your answer was spot on and thank you very much or your help!

    Best!
