Sales Processing - Turn off Orders and Quotes in GP

Is it possible to turn off the selection of using Sales Orders and Quotes in GP?

We have a very simple Invoicing process that I would like to streamline the process so the pull down menu for Transaction Type only shows "Invoice" and "Return" . The easier the better for these users. Thank you

Yes....You can remove the access to those types....

under the security task ID "TRX_SALES_001*", Go to MSGP>>Document Access >>Sales...and unmark all those you dont need.

Hi Marcia,

Jothikrishnan is right. There is an exception, users with POWERUSER security role will have access to all Sales Documents Types.

Also check if you have other Security Task(s) which give access to Sales Documents Types.

Using document access security you can deny access to quotes and orders.

This will not hide the choices but stops them being selected.

David

PS: No user should have POWERUSER access for day to day use.
