Dynamics CRM 365 - Very slow performances

(0) ShareShare

Hi,

I'm using a Dynamics CRM 365 instance and I try to inject external data : 500K customers and saleorders via SSIS and kingswaysoft connector.

I observed 3 things things :

- The data import is too slow : 2 day to just inject 250k saleorder adresses.

- The system tasks are slow : more than 2 days to delete them with a bulk process.

- We installed a on-premise instance on a remote poor server and the same tasks are super fast. But we want to use the online instance.

So how can we improve the import performances ? Can we improve the performance of the server ? According to MS Dynamics support it's ok.

We cannot spend a week to import data, we need to manage them every day, but it's too slow, really.

Of course we disable the plugins.

Any help would be appreciated

PHK.

Hi PHK, there most important things you can do to improve the performance of your data migration to CRM Online is

Enable Multi Threading Settings on the SSIS / Kingswaysoft to write to CRM in parallel – BDD in SSIS

and Increase Throttling on CRM Online, For Data migrations you can request a support ticket with MS to temporarily increase the throttling on crm online so it can process more requests and speed up the import.

    Also kingswaysoft recommend the following;

Minimize the number of fields you select when reading from or writing to CRM

Utilize Bulk Data Load API introduced in UR13 and December 2012 Service Update – 500%-900% performance improvement for CRM online

Use multi-threading to write to CRM in parallel – BDD in SSIS

Write to multi-node in parallel if you have a cluster

Mind your network latency between your integration client and CRM server

Mind the impact that your plugins or workflows may have on data load performance – Disable them if you don’t need them in initial load – Use attribute filtering – Watch out the growth of CRM workflow log table (AsyncOperationBase), and delete completed workflow jobs as necessary

SQL Performance Optimization – Disk IO, Memory – DB maintenance jobs to REBUILD or REORGANIZE indexes on a regular basis – Consider adding custom indexes if needed

    Hope that helps :)

    Hi PHK,

I addition to above by Raz, please check below tips to speed up the data migration process.

Use a STAGING database in a SQL Server and preconfigure the lookups field as GUIDs, instead of getting Kinsgwaysoft to do the lookup.  This can improve performance up to 10 times.

    Cheers,

    Hi

Has this issue been resolved? If not, then I would like to recommend using Tenfold to integrate with your Office 365 with over 150 phone systems . Its really easy and will only take a few minutes to set up. They also support MS Dynamics integration. Here's the link if you're interested www.tenfold.com/.../dynamics
