I have a question around elimination entries in D365.

Are we able to use elimination rules in conjunction with Management reporter to get a consolidated statmemt.

In other words we use elimination rules with management report instead of using elimination rules with the on-line consolidation process.

Thank you for both of your responses.

In your response below you mention mentioned a "manual elimination entry" - see below. I was not sure what that meant.

What I am trying to determine (and I think you are both confirming it) is if we can do the following:

1) Setup elimination entry rules in D365

2) Set up one or more elimination entry legal entities.

3) At month end run an elimination entry journal proposal based on an elimination rule

4) Post the elimination journal.

5) Run MR report which will have the legal entities and elimination companies and the sum of both.

The consolidated reporting is done using MR not consolidations on line.

Yes, you can do a manual elimination entry in a company that is designated an elimination company by setting up elimination rules with source and destination accounts and creating elimination Journal. Thorough explanation in below MS docs.

Just to confirm I can create elimination entry rules in D365 and not use the on line consolidation functionality but just have them booked to a seperate legal entity.

Elimination entries

You have multiple options. You can use the Consolidate online option, and include eliminations during the process or as a proposal. The transactions will be posted in the consolidation company. Alternatively, you can have a separate company that you manually create the eliminations in, and then use that company in Financial reporting or in the consolidation process.
