Set Default Page Zoom in CR2008/SL2011

How do I set the default page zoom to "whole page" rather than "page width" in the CR2008 Viewer for specific users?  A number of user with large monitors would like the viewer to default to a zoom setting of  whole page.

I tried changing the "Report Options - Preview Pages Start with : Fit Page" on a couple of custom reports to see if this would force the viewer to open the report with a default zoom of fit page.  Unfortunately, that did not work.  Any suggestions will be appreciated

Thank you

Steve

In testing this further, it appears that reports (rpt)  with orientation of landscape open in the viewer in "Fit Page" regardless of what is set in the Report Options - Preview Pages Start with:

Likewise, reports with orientation of portrait open in the viewer as "Page Width".  Again, the Report Options - Preview Page Start with option is disregarded by the viewer.

    Good morning Steve,

When I open up the Detail GL report (01620.rpt) in Crystal 2008, I can see that the Page Setup is set to use Landscape, and Report Options is set to use Fit Width for the 'Preview Pages Start With' value.   The GL Chart of Accounts report (01650.rpt) is set to use Portrait, and the Report Options is set to use Fit Width for the 'Preview Pages Start With' value.  However, when I print-preview either of these reports in SL, the 'Zoom Factor' setting at the bottom of the preview window indicated that 'Page Width' is being used as opposed to 'Fit Width'.

I attempted to workaround this, but just as you indicated in your original contact, regardless of what I have set up in the Crystal report, when previewing the report in SL, 'Page Width' is always going to be used.  Unfortuantely, I really don't have a workaround for this.  I am going to write up a bug to document this issue and will update you with the bug number.  I apologize for the inconvenience this bug causes!
