Printing issue ( Chinese) Characters

Hi All,

We have a set up where the system can display the extended description in chinese, all working fine except when we wish to print a duplicate receipt ( A4) the chinese characters some of which display as "??" and some print fine.

Has anyone got RMS used in this fashion with a non latin based langauge and if so have they came across this and how have they overcome it ?

    It's because the Compressor component in RMS does not support double byte char system, you can only print it correctly before you it zipped and saved to database.

    I have a module for this long time ago, not sure if I've lost the source, it's for v1.x, need to modify something to work w/ v2.0, email me if you want it.

    With the module I told you last time. No need special setup, only install the module.
