Lower Bound and Customer Account Discounts

Posted on by Microsoft Employee

Hi. Having set a lower bound on a few items (e.g 5% off RRP), for the "on the spot customers wanting a discount" the 903 alert works repeatedly and sufficiently well at the POS in providing the alerts.

However, for customers with accounts, whose customer account discounts is greater than (e.g 10%) the set lower bound  (e.g 5%), I have a challenge as follows:

Only once after having selected the customer account, did RMS prompt  "Do you want the customer's discount to override transaction discount" having chosen "no", it provided the 903 alert when the discount entered on the item was greater than the set lower bound, which if fine.

However, if I repeat this again, using the same customer ac# & same product or different customer a/c # & different lower bound product,  I am perplexed as to why I do not continuously get the RMS prompt and the 903 alert as well, when selecting customer accounts from the database!!!! RMS seems to accept the customer discount override without any prompts.
