Use form capture to integrate a form created externally

Hello all,

I could really use some direction on form capture on external pages.

Using the WordPress CMS and Elementor for layout, there are a number of form options. I'm able to connect with the tracking script and map the fields but then submission data is not pulled in at all. Visits are tracked but form entries are not.

The only success we've had so far was using the form builder that comes with JetPack on a plain page. As soon as I begin to design the page or the form with Elementor, the form no longer works. I've uses the native form builder in Elementor and WPForms as well.

Elementor integrates with the following form builders:
-WPForms
-Caldera Forms
-Contact Form 7
-Better Docs Search Form
-Fluent Form
-FormStack
-Gravity Forms
-Ninja Forms
-TypeForms
-WeForms
-Native Elementor Form

I see in another thread that users are having similar problems with Contact Form 7. I also see that Gravity Forms has a Dynamics integration plugin.
BUT... before I go down the rabbit hole, I'd love to hear what integrations have worked for other
OR... what fixes may have worked for WPForms and/or Elementor.

Very eager to fix this & appreciate your help!!

    Hey bud,

    Have you thought about using Power Automate to integrate your external forms? Does any of the forms have a webhook option? That is they can send submissions from their form to a URL endpoint in a JSON format? If so you can use Power Automate to accept that JSON payload and then use the out of the box CDS connectors to directly push the form submissions into Dynamics. That way you can use practically any form software and integrate it with Dynamics.

    Below is an article of how to do it with Gravity Forms but it'll be a similar process if other form software has the potential to send webhook payloads.

    Thanks, much appreciated. So far this "works" but the data is pulled in full code and I'm having trouble turning that into something useful in Dynamics.

    I think this would have worked if I wasn't using Elementor. Elementor seems to be the common denominator because when I style pages without it, forms seem to work ok.

    Anyway, thanks for the input!

    Hey dude. When you say full code do you mean it comes through in a JSON format?

    Like for example with First name, last name and Email you'd get:

    {
    "firstName":"John",
    "lastName":"Smith",
    "email":"jonh.smith@hotmail.com"
    }

    You can create a schema in Power Automate by copying a sample of the JSON payload and then start using these values as Dynamic content in your Power Automate.

    No, not like that. It came through with urls and turned the spaces into "&". My dev guy wasn't sure what to do with it either. It was a bunch of code, nothing orderly like the JSON example.
