Hi everyone,

I hope someone can help me with the following issue.

I am trying to set up a Microsoft Entra ID in BC23W2 (on premise). The idea is establish later a connection between business central and onedrive. However, when I try Set Up the Microsoft Entra ID account the following message appears:

I know the app registration in Azure has been created correctly because it works if I use postman. (based on the following URL Dynamics 365 Business Central: How to import/read files from OneDrive to Business Central via AL (Graph API) | Dynamics 365 Lab).
  • If I try a custom action for testing the connection, no token is retrieved
  • If I try to set up the connection using 'Set up Microsoft Entra ID accounts' in 'Assisted Setup', then the message above appears.
I have also created the Microsoft Entra Application in 'Microsoft Entry Applications' on BC.

Every help should be appreciated

Thanks

Hi, unlike the SaaS version, you need to complete the OneDrive integration with Business Central on-premises setup first. Because by default, On-Pre cannot connect to OneDrive directly.

    Hope this helps.
    Thanks.

Thanks @YUN ZHU for the quick answer.

I have done all the steps that Microsoft says in the documentation and the problem I have now is that no token can be retrieved

    More information:
    • No error was shown in BC when the setup of for 'Microsoft Entra ID accounts' was done in BC
    • The app was registered on Azure with the following permissions (has been granted)
    • I have created a new record for  the Microsoft Entra Application in business central and consent has been granted without any error message. The user for this app has permissions over  the table document service Scenario (like Microsoft says in his documentation)
    • I have written down the Onedrive URL like Microsoft says in the documentation https://<my tenant name>-my.sharepoint.com
    • If I use postman, it works without any problem

    Hi,

Did you get the original error message to go away as we had that exact message and the issue was that our data encryption was messed up? We were trying to connect our on-prem BC24 to Entra ID to switch form SMTP with Basic Auth to the 365 Shared Connector and teh Entra ID setup would not run without encryption.

    Regards,
    Brian.
