Dears,

I hope all of you doing well.

I have created a workflow for a new journal name (invoice journal). and i assigned the workflow to journal name. but when i access the new journal name some of its journals have the workflow and some not have the workflow. i assumed that because these transactions have been added before assigning the workflow to the journal.

how can i apply the workflow on these journals?

thanks

I have the same question (0)

    Hi,

You can't apply workflow in old journals rather the easiest solution is, export the journals and import once again with new journal batch number, from there the workflow will work.

Hi Ramit, thanks for your help.

actually, our case is. we have created a new journal name and we assigned the workflow at the setup of the of the journal name.

but we didn't update the existed workflow with the new journal name. and they worked on it and add some transaction then we edited the workflow with the new journal name.

so currently we have some transaction with workflow and some transaction without workflow within the same journal.

the transactions which have the workflow are the newest. i think after editing the existed workflow and the other which have not the workflow are the oldest.

can we apply the workflow for all old transactions.

    regards

    Hi,

assuming you have two journal batch numbers with same journal name, one batch number having Transaction with workflow and another one has no workflow.

Assuming the journal batch number without wf was the oldest one before enabling the wf into it.

I think you can't enable the wf, as workaround you can export the journal transactions and import in new journal.

It will save your manual effort to create Transaction manually.

    Hi,

actually, no. we have two journal names (VE and VE23). both journal names have the same workflow. but we didn't update the existed workflow with the new journal name VE23 immediately. and they added some transactions in VE23 then we updated the workflow. so the new transaction which added after the editing have the workflow and the old no

    Hi,

My suggestion will be same in that case as well.

We can't enable wf on journal when there was no workflow.
