Dialog box using button

Hi All,

I've a requirement to update one field value on the form. So, I need to place a button and on clicking of the button, dialog box should open and ask for the value.

After entering the value, user will click the "yes" button and record should get updated in the table.

Anyone guide me technically, How to achieve this scenario?

    Hi AXDeveloper,

    Wouldn't is be more simple to update the value directly on the form like any other field? Can you tell why you want to have a dialog as additional step?

    Hi Sir,

    Why not directly modify the field value, but through Dialog?

    You can implement methods to pass values to different forms through Args.

    Well! We have a business requirement to update the field value once after the workflow submission and we all know that, we can't edit the data  source . The form data source won't let us to update the record.

    So, I had a thought to update a field value by adding a new button. By using the button, I'll update the current data source record value.

    Hi,

    First, you need to create a dialog form, then menuitem for this form , then add dialog button to parent form.
