Import bank statement in general journal

Hi,

My client requested to import the bank statement into the General Journal, but I encountered an issue during the configuration

As the warning message says, FINNISH BASIC is obsolete and shouldn't (but can) be used.

Nevertheless the standard application doesn't seem to contain any other format; you'd need to implement it on your own (or obtain it from a vendor). An import format is a class inheriting from LedgerInAccountStatement class.

I'm not a finance consultant, but I think that you probably should use a different way to import bank statements, such as Bank statements entity, as described in Set up the advanced bank reconciliation import process.

It is usually format MT940 (most popular in Euorpe) and then BAI2(for america i reckon) and upcoming new file format Camt.05.

In all three cases, I have seen people importing the bank transactions from Bank Module and not from the General Journal.

This particular implementation seems either custom or a localization.
