Table Security Violation error

Posted on by Microsoft Employee

Good Morning

I am hoping that somebody can help in some way.

We have a user whereby her GP password had to be changed while she was away, and since then she has had quite a few security issue's.

To rectify this our IT team copied another user's security profile to this user. This sorted most of the missing security, but one issue has stumped them and also our GP partner.

Whenever she tries to print financial (eg. Enquiry - Financial - Journal Entry Enquiry) reports, there is an error message that appears that says 'Table Security Violation'.

The user where the profile was copied from can perform this task. Our GP partner checked both profiles and said they are identical, but one can perform the task and the other cant. They are both part of the same User Class.

I have also logged into GP (on her PC) with the SA user ID and this can perform the task.

Any help would be appreciated

Regards

Mark

Thanks...will that fix the issue that an individual user is having?

Try to run the dex_req script against master database and Grant script against system and company database (you can find these scripts under the SQL\Util folder of GP installation folder). And also run this command sp_changedbowner 'DYNSA' against system and company database.

    Hope this helps!!!
