Field Service Auto Generate Agreement Booking Date issue

Hi,

We are trying to generate Agreement Booking date record automatically by using OOB functionality provided by the field service.

We followed the below steps.

1)      Create an Agreement Record.

2)      Create Agreement Booking setup record for the same agreement as shown in the below screen.

3)      Now, clicked on the BOOKING RECURRENCE Button highlighted in green in the above image in order to configure the Booking Recurrence and configure the booking recurrence as follow.

4)      Once we have completed with the Booking recurrence configuration saved the booking setup record.

5)      Go back to Agreement record and change the “System Status” estimate to active save the record.

6)      After saving the agreement record normally Booking Date records automatically get generated. But in our case the Field Service Workflow which generates Agreement Booking date record is not getting triggered.

7)      We are on CRM version 9.0

 

Kindly help us out with this issue

    Antc,

    I thought I had everything figured out, but I am now running into a problem again where it all of the system jobs for generating the Field Service Agreement Booking Dates say "Waiting." However, the booking dates for all of the booking setups have already been generated. However, no work orders have been generated.  I have looked through all of the settings and statuses for the Agreement and everything seems be in order. Any ideas?

    Hi Erik,

    The asynchronous Booking Dates has already run and will now fire off to make further booking dates in the future based of the Field Service Settings you have so thats as expected.

    As far as I'm aware you can't force system jobs to run as date/time are read only, you can only pause, cancel etc...

    Rest assured your on your way now.

    Thanks for the help. I solved part of it, and it may just be a time issue for the rest. The first issue I had was that I had not manually changed the "Agreement System Status" to "Active". I had been trying to do that with the check option on the Agreement Summary screen but that did not work. Now I do have Booking Dates, but still no work orders. I am including screen shots of my setup below.

    Then here are the system jobs. I have two questions about these

    1) How do I already have Booking dates generated if the Workflow hasn't even run yet?

    2) Is there anyway to force run a job that is waiting on a timer?

    Hi Erik,

    Its hard to follow system workflows etc as they have a lot of actions etc.

    I think it's an asynchronous workflow that generates the booking date x months in advance depending on what you set in Field Service -> Administration -> Field Service Settings.

    You should see the bookings within a couple of minutes of setting the Agreement to active. You should then be able to open a booking thats within your x days setting on you agreement booking setup for workorder creation and see a workflow waiting for an hour that will generate workorder's for any of your bookings that fall within that time.

    I suggest going back over your Field Service -> Administration -> Field Service Settings and double checking as it can be frustrating initially to get it working.

    Antc, We are experiencing a similar issue and there is no job history for the Agreement Booking Setup. We did confirm that the Workflow was active. We created an agreement, ensured that the Field Service Settings supported the Auto-Generate Work Order and have left the agreement active over night several times without any booking dates or work orders ever being generated. Any thoughts?

    Whats the Workflow doing?

    Have you had a look in System Jobs under Agreement Booking Setup.

    Hi Thomas, thanks for your reply.

    We checked for the workflows and yes all of the Field Service related Workflows are active.

    Do you think any other way out, other than raising a ticket?

    I think someone else reported the same issue with V9 as well. Do a quick check to see if the workflows are activated. If they are you should make a support ticket with Microsoft to see what the issue is.

    Yes, we have update Agreement Booking Setting  in the 'Field Service Settings.

    We have set "Generate Booking Date X month in advance" as 18.

    Please let us know if you find any solution.
