Server Side Synchronization - Restart of Async Service required

Hi,

Currently working with a CRM 2015 On-Prem environment that is configured for Server-Side Synchronization (incoming and outgoing). The system has 250 active mailboxes and is connected to Exchange Server 2010 using an impersonation User.

In recent weeks after updating the version of 2015, incoming and outgoing email is drip feeding emails into and out of the System (close to 1 thousand emails are expected to be created per day in the system, and currently they are receiving closer to 50). Every night an Asynchronous Service restart is required at close of business. Doing so causes all Emails to flood into the system between roughly 6pm and midnight. Next day, no activity until another Async Restart. Some Emails send throughout the day, others get stuck with a state of Pending Send.

We have tried clearing down the AsyncOperationBase table / look for Trace Errors /  re-enable mailboxes etc. to no avail. The only consistent Trace is a Warning that throws a security warning due to an issue with tokens. A fix has yet to be implemented into Live. We have multiple support Cases open with Microsoft but have yet to identify the issue.

Has anyone come across something like this before?

    Hi J,

    did you come further here?

We are currently encountering the same behaviour in CRM 2016 SP1 & Exchange 2016 (both onPrem)

    Regards

We have the same problem here for all our 1700 users. very bad. Were you able to identify the cause or did MS support provide a fix for this and your cases? Thanks for your reply.

    Regards

Hi Christian, Dynamics CRM will never die ;-)

Where are currently in Progress upgrading from 8.1.1 to 8.2.3 on fresh server boxes.

Hoping to have a good base then to sort all Issues and fancy occurancies around Server Side Sync than.

    Cheers Oliver

Oh very nice. Would you mind telling me if 8.2.x will resolve the server sync bugs once you are migrated? :) thank you Oliver.
