Microsoft CRM Portals - AD FS login and already existing Contact

Hello guys,

I have a portal configured to connect with AD FS.

On the CRM there is already a Contact with the same email and I would like that, after the first login, the portal automatically recognizes the Contact.

What happens, instead, is that I'm redirected to the Profile page with blank fields to be filled (Name, Surname, Email). After submitting the form a new Contact is created on the CRM.

I found this link:

https://community.adxstudio.com/forums/adxstudio-portals/b49e89ab-21a5-e411-80f3-00155dc0a3d4

and I tried to follow the instructions.

Basically I did the following steps:

1. Filled the adx_identity_username field of the Contact with "DOMAIN\username" (domain and user name of my case)

2. Created a new Identity related record with the correct information (Identity provider included)

3. Checked the Login Enabled flag

4. Checked the Lockout Enabled flag

After that I tried to login again and receive an error page with a message code and something like "we received the error and working on it"

Can someone tell me what I did wrong and maybe help me?

Thanks in advance.

Best regards.

It might be better and supported to use the invitation flow.  Create your contacts, generate invitation, redeem invite code with ADFS.  This will allow you to have existing contacts and have them linked with your ADFS properly.

I have created an on demand workflow that set the security stamp, the login enabled flag, the lockout enabled flag. After running the wf on the Contact (that must have the username filled) the user is able to login to the portal
