Management Reporter and Encumbrance Management

Posted on by 745

I cannot find any documentation on the ability to include Encumbered figures in a column in MR.  We used to be able to do this in FRx and I have a client who needs the ability to do this but I cannot confirm this.

The client has Encumbrance Management but has not activated or setup the module and I don't want them to go through all that if it won't even work.  The encumbered figures from their PO system are critical to their financial reporting to their managers.  They currently use Crystal to pull these figures from the PO module.

    Hi Sheila,

The encumberance in MR is pretty basic, so it's not going to include the details.

    Hello Keith,

Just so I understand you completely - the budget that is created for the Encumbrance has lump sum numbers that cannot be drilled down to but when the Encumbered figures are changed will it change the budget figures?  I want to know if when the PO's are generated and received against will the budget figures get updated?  I can understand why you can't drill down into the numbers.

    Thank you,

    Sheila

There are examples of this in our new Management Reporter book.  Check it out at www.accoladepublications.com

The encumbrance management budgets in MR should appear in the column definition under the FD columns.  You'll find them under the Book Code, with an ID like ENC##.

MR can only report on the encumbrance budget amount.  You won’t be able to see the encumbered amount or any transaction details.  MR will only show the budget amount with no other details.  It only grabs the values that are in the GL00201 table and not the encumbrance values.
