"There are no transactions matching these restrictions message" while GL posting of fixed assets

Posted on by Microsoft Employee

Hi

I purchased a fixed assets item and generated a PO and received it as capital item. After that from Financials>Cards>Fixed assets>Fixed assets general information window I created a fixed asset record by hitting the purchase button appearing on the window and selecting the Receipt Number and saved it. When I go to fixed assets GL posting it gives the error as captioned in the subject line. Below is the screen shot of the error as well. Please help me in fixing this problem. We are using Dynamics GP 2013 R2.

Best Regard

Rashid Anwar

    Rashid -

There is an additional step beyond creating the Fixed Asset in GP. Under Cards > Fixed Assets > Book an Asset can be assigned to a Book. If you don't have a Book Setup, this can be done in Fixed Assets > Setup > Book.  When a book is configured in the Book Setup window, a box can be checked to automate the process of adding Assets to the book when the assets are created.
