Is there a way to set customer (using F7 key) using bar coded customer cards ?

The problem i run into is when cashier scans a card that is not already in the system the program just selects another customer. Can we set it in a way it is with items if the card number is not already in the system it would prompt the cashier(that the customer card is invalid same as with item barcodes not is the system.

Hi Robert,

Its actually the scanner which emulates you keyboard and automatically press enter at the end of the bar code.

In RMS, you can to Set Customer and then hit Find button, select Account Number there and scan barcode. This will wont "Auto Select" the customer but search if exists in database.
