We have a single user who keeps getting the following error when following this path:
I've worked with my GP consultant for as much as he will help for "free" but he suggested I try the forums.
He suggested I make sure her security is the same as our VP of HR and it is. He also suggested copying over her library and I've done that too and yet, no fix.
Our VP is getting frustrated that I can fix this. My problem is she can't wait to get support on the phone to see it happen and she has this person do this so infrequent that it is dragging out the problem.
We are on GP 2015.
Any suggestions?

Hi Brian,
You are troubleshooting in the right direction as this is definitely a reports dictionary issue. Please keep us updated when you can.
Thanks!
Jeff
As mentioned in the original post, I did copy over the reports.dic. However, I checked them both again and they looked slightly different in size, so for good measure, I did it again. I am not sure when they will rest this again but will see it is resolves it finally. Will update soon...
Hi Brian
I presume you followed Leslie Vail's instructions on what to look for.
As Leslie alluded to the problem is most likely the local reports.dic files are not the same for each user.
Here is what you should do.
On the user with the issue, find the reports.dic file and copy it to safe location or rename it something like reports.dic_hold.
Next copy the reports.dic file from the VP's workstation to the location of the reports.dic file on the user's workstation.
Have the user launch Dynamics GP and test to make sure everything works correctly now.
I checked all applicable .set files and they all point to local installs, no network shares. Could it be possible this report might have something user or network specific in it?
Hi,
Are the .set files pointing to a network share that your user has access to? If the .set file points to a folder on the local drive, that's your problem.
Leslie
Yes...the VP uses modified reports. However, I compared both Dynamic.Set files and both are exactly the same. Anything else I should look at?
Hi,
This error tells me that the report has been modified and the user's Dynamics.set file isn't pointing to a location where that modified reports dictionary lives. Check that user's Dynamics.set file and make sure it's pointing to the right place. Check the Dynamics.set file for a user that's working and make sure hers is set the same.
Leslie
This is another problem I have with this. The VP only wants this one single user to try this function. I'm not given advanced notice before she has her try this and when it fails, she doesn't have the time for me to try to help or get support on the phone (if possible).
To say I have some needlessly difficult obstacles in the way is an understatement.
Does this happen to other users? Have you tried having her log into GP on a different computer? Are your GP installs directly on users desktops, or are you using virtual desktops of some sort?
