Custom Entity Insufficent Priveledges in Marketing Query

I have created a custom entity.  This entity will be used by our Marketing Director for creating marketing lists.   I for the the Marketing Manager role I have all the green dots set for this custom entity.  She can see the entity in the Dynamic Marketing list query but she cannot select a value to base the list one.  What am I doing wrong?

Thanks. -Joe

I am not sure if I understand what you are saying. You created a new entity and want to create Marketing Campaigns based on if an Account has one of those records?

If so, you can create a view for Accounts where the related Account within the Custom Enity has data. This means that this view will only display the Accounts that have one of the records you created; then, use this view as the criteria to populate your Marketing List.

    Does that make sense?

That is not what I am trying to ask.   As an administrator I can create marketing lists for contacts based on this new entity just fine.  My marketing director cannot.  Under related she can see the new entity and add it to the criteria.  However when she tries to put criteria under on one of the columns of the new entity she gets an error telling her she has insufficient privileges.  This does not happen when create marketing list using this new entity.  Is that clearer?  Thanks.

Oh I see, can you go to the security role assigned to that user and go to the last tab "Custom Entities" and turn on the permissions for the new entity you created.

That should take care of it.

Yes, I belive I have done that.  For example.  Sue is the marketing manager.  She has the security role 'Marketing Manager' granted to her.  The role, Marketing Manager, has the followign rights to the new custom entity:  There are green dots for Create, Read, Write, Delete, Append Append To.  However there is no option to set rights for Assign and Share.

    Hi Joe,

What is you are giving a system administrator security role to this user. Is he facing the same issue?

    Thanks,

    Mohammad

There was a second entity that a lookup was based on.  This second entity did not have rights correctly granted.  Thanks  this issue is resolved.
