Hello guys,

I have a question regarding relation between inventory and TO creation.

How not allowed to create transfer order when there is insufficient inventory for the items?

When there is no physical inventory it is possible to create TO with “on order” status, after increasing the inventory the mentioned TO will not updated to reserved and it should be updated manually with reservation form. So for enormous TOs, it is too difficult to change the status.

Is there any other setup or feature to solve this issue?

    Hi Zohreh,

    To reserve items for transfer at the warehouse that is specified as the originating warehouse, select the Reserve items automatically check box. Maybe you can click Inventory Management>Settings>Inventory Management Parameters>Transfer Order and set Reserve items automatically to yes.

    Dear Hana Xue

    Thanks for your consideration. I used reservation setup and the reservation checkbox is fulfilled automatically in TO's lines however when there is no inventory and lines are added to the TO, I got following warning message and when I click on ok I can still proceed ahead and the line will be recorded with "on order" status.

    it is needed not to allowed to create "on order" transaction in TOs.
