Archive / File Level Access to File Attachments in Internal Azure Storage

Good afternoon all,

We are using the standard FILE document type to attach PDF documents to invoice records. Is there anyway that I can get access to the files themselves so that we can archive / take copies of them (without navigating to each record and downloading the file).

Even a simple option like Azure Storage Explorer would be an option, if it could get me into the right blob storage account (for Production and UAT 365 instances).

Thanks in advance for your help.

Regards
 Neil

    Hi Neil,

you can consider to leverage DMF project export  Vendor invoice document attachment V2 entity.

    Good morning HenryXie

Thank you for your suggestion. I have found that entity, however, I'm not sure how I can use the standard DMF to get the actual attached files (The .PDFs, and .DOCs). Could you give me any further pointers.

    Regards

     Neil

after exported , click download package, if this entity can export attachments they should be in the package file,

    Hi Henry,

I've got the download to work, however it looks like the actual files that I need are being stored against different tables. The Vendor Invoice Document Attachments seems to only pull back docs against table 18948 (VendInvoiceInfoTable), however, it appears that the docs we need are being stored against table 2070 (VendTrans).

    Hi Neil,

There is no standard entity for the VendTrans table. You can develop one yourself including the attachments. Note that the VendTrans doesn't have a natural key, so the wizard in Visual Studio can't find this table. You can first create an entity with the wizard where you provide object names which you want to use for the VendTrans entity, but first use e.g. the table VendGroup. After the wizard completed, you can remove the fields and data source. Then add the table and fields manually to the entity.
