USD -> CAD in G/L but where to find it in Posted Sales Invoice for Report

Hi

I want to design a report (using Jet Report) and I need to pull sales price from Posted Sales Invoice. But we have some customers that we sell certain items (not all items) to them in CAD instead of USD. I can see BC convert Amount in Invoice from CAD to USD and record it in G/L.

How I can retrieve value recorded in G/L for that specific item? Each Posted Sales Invoice can have multiple items.

For example, In Posted Sales Invoice I see the "Amount Including Tax" as CAD 376 but the same item recorded in G/L revenue as $311. I need to extract that $311.

Thanks

I have the same question (0)

    Hello,

Do you mean you need an additional reporting currency?

    Thanks

    Hi Marco

Thanks. it is more like a profit / sales / sales rep report. In posted sales invoice we have Unit Cost ($) which is great but we do not have Amount ($). In a case of sales under different currency the only place I can find USD is G/L but G/L does not have clear link to specific part in Posted Sales Invoice.

All I need is Sales Amount ($) for any part in posted sales invoice

    Thanks

    Hello,

I think this does require customization.

    Thanks.

Presumably the NL rows formula is principally for the sales invoice line table. On the sales invoice header table you have the currency used and currency factor. Get those values with a NL first formula filtering by the document number. Then just convert the amount including tax to LCY. This method is better than getting a NL sum from the G/L account as you typically get a summed value - depending on your process. No modification necessary.

    Hi Josh

Thank you. currency factor solved my problem. Thanks again for pointing it out.
