How to add new code units, add new pages and modify existing pages in Business Central cloud?

Hello,

I understand that to add pages/code units we need to use Visual Studio code and develop in AL Code and deploy the extension.

However does this apply for a cloud instance?

How would pages and code units be deployed to cloud instances?

Is it possible to elaborate a bit more or direct me to some documents if you have them handy?

We develop 3rd party integration software to our Business Central customers and we have one customer is on the cloud. I am trying to figure out how our custom code units and modified pages can be delivered to the customer's cloud instance.

Do we need to login into their Azure machine and run the Publish App commands?

I am a bit out of my element here so I may not be using the correct terminology, any help would be greatly appreciated!

Do my best. Two methods of deployment. Development environment method is with the api but production is with a packaged .app file.

Need to configure the json files of the project. docs.microsoft.com/.../devenv-json-files

The vs code extension for AL has a command called package or one for deploy - sandbox only.

Use the AL Go command to start things off. It will ask for a cloud instance or a local one to build off of. Providing you know what the customer already has deployed using a none cloud instance to build up the app is ok. Any problems will manifest themselves at deployment.

First, you need to make the customization you have done used the right image of the BC version and once you have the .app file you can login in to businesscentral.dynamics.com , you need to ask your customer to create a new login and assign super permission which you can use to login and then in Extension Management Page you have the option to upload the extension, once you upload the extension there is a deployment status action which you can use to check the status.
