Czech VAT Ledgers update

(0) ShareShare
ReportReport
Posted on by 115

Hi,

from January 2016 new VAT reporting requirements are mandatory in Czech. How can I investigate if Microsoft is supporting this, or local partner offer this?

Details below

April 27, 2015AdminCzech VAT, European News
The Czech General Finance Directive (GFD) has added further clarifications to plans to require companies to submit VAT Ledgers from 2016.
EU VAT Ledgers to end VAT returns

VAT Ledgers (or Books) is the term applied to electronic filings of all accounting records affected by VAT transactions. They can include: sales and purchase ledgers; as well as fixed asset and stock records. It is a long-term drive by EU tax authorities that company will submit these electronically on a real-time basis so that VAT transactions can be automatically tracked, and the VAT liabilities audited fully. Aside from providing tax authorities with more complete information, which can be more efficiently assessed by computer, it is also seen as a major long-term remedy to EU VAT fraud.
Presently, they have been imposed in: Slovakia, Estonia, Latvia, Slovenia and Slovakia.
Czech VAT Ledgers 2016

The Czech Republic plans to implement the requirement to submit VAT Ledgers from the start of 2016. The GFD has now presented a model ledger map, plus supporting guidance. The Ledgers will be required of all enterprises that have supplied taxable supplies in the Czech Republic, including under the reverse charge where the place of supply is within the Czech Republic. All ledgers must detail transaction by transaction, and be reconcilable to the normal VAT return.

    Hello Martin,

Have you checked the Dynamics AX localization portal at customer source? If you cannot find that the features you need are supported you will need to contact MS respectively log an incident with MS and ask to fix this gap.

    All the best,

    Ludwig

Hi, I have yet to confirm with our partner as the VAT control statements was supported by Microsoft, but checking the page today showed nothing relating to the statements. In December the feature was shown as being released in January 2016. Maybe it is in progress alrady, but let me get back to you

    Hi Martin,

I tried to learn more information... I heard from our partner today that this stuff was released for partners by Microsoft. There are versions - full for AX 2012 and a simpler version for AX 2009. The second one should be for us but has not been tested yet from our partner so nobody knows how it really works.

    Hi BuckBuck, Hi Martin,

where did you get this release information from?

to my knowledge the versions for Ax2012 R2 and R3 only are still not released.

(according to the corresponding LCS entries)

    Moreover:

I haven't heard about a 2009 version for that. Where did you get this information from?

On Oct 6, 2015 I've asked the partnersupport for the plans of implmenting a 2009 version

see (if you have access):  Ax: Country specific feature: CZ - VAT Control Statement 2016

    partnersupport.microsoft.com/.../13db58a6-1f00-438f-b5de-c0e6825c4b4f

The bottom line was that there will be no version for Ax 2009.

Furthermore I've created a connect entry for that as suggestion on the same day, but haven't got any reaction or comment on that.

see(if you have access): Connect: CZ - VAT Control Statement 2016 for 2009

    connect.microsoft.com/.../1873230

So to my current knowledge, the way for 2009 would be

    - waiting for one of the 2012(R2/R3) hotfixes

    - downgrade the functionality to 2009

    Have you got other statements?

    regards

    Douglas

    Hi Martin,

thank you very much for this 'unimportant' information (never have seen this)

Which date is your hardcopy from, how this could be accessed?

Seems the left hand doesn't know what the right hand is doing. :-)

    regards

    Hi Douglas,

    It was stated here:

    mbs.microsoft.com/.../CzechRepublic.html

Our partner found this on December 9th 2015, hence expecting it to be released in January. When looking at the page today, the Planned Feature section is gone. I dont know if that means it is actually in process of being released or it has been taken out completely.

Regardless of which ones of the above, it adds complexity as our Czech dept. have to submit these VAT control statements by Feb. At the moment we are in doubt if Microsoft actually develops the functionality for AX2009, or we have to get our partner to do this.

    thnx for the info.

independent of the way the 'solution' is going to be implemented (or already implemented - if the fix currently really exists), there isn't plenty of time.

Even if the fix would be released today (or tomorrow), the remaining time  isn't enough for usage in production in Feb 16,  beside you have a clean installation without any modification to adjust/merge and don't need a lot of tests and fully rely on the things which will come.

At the moment I'm more than a little bit in doubt that this feature could be used in Feb 16.

But let's take the things as they come.

    regards

    Douglas
