I am trying to create a report (similar to the top 10 inventory list that would list the top 10 sold items by variants rather than by the items. Any help please?

Olagoke,
Do you use stockkeeping units? If so, you can run a report on that table, pulling in the part number variant quantity location etc, then in the rdlc report you do a grouping by variant code, and sum the qtys. Or else you can use warehouse entries/item ledger entries.
Or just look at the base reports for the code that is in them to learn from like the top 10 items you mentioned.
