We just went from 7 to SL2011 SP1 in November. Biggest changes are Quick Query, Management Reporter, Attachments and new buttons for exporting grid info to Excel and print screens. Check out Customer Source - there is always some sort of "What's new in SL [version]". There are demos of Quick Query and Management Reporter on the web, too. I think the latest version is SL2011 FP1.
