Cost is showing Zero while adjusting the inventory

HI , 

I Doing the inventory adjustment for items . So , Now i found that some items are not showing the Cost . When i have checked the transational leval details i found that Sales returns Cost is not Picked ( Sales returns are posted with out Sales order due changing the ERP ) 

So now i wnated know what is pick the cost in Inventory Adjustment . 

Can any one suggest .

    Is there a default price on the manage cost fast tab of the released product? What costing method are you?

    Default price in manage inventory is showing Zero and i am using the weighted avrg cost .

    KvRaghava,

    Does this item have an already calculated WAC? Is it a purchased component?

    If so, has it had transactions before at this Site-Wh level you're posting to?

    If the manage cost tab is $0.00 and you're not seeing an inventory journal (e.g., adjustment/counting) pick up the inventory cost, then it may not have transactional receipts that would've prompted its cost. My assumption is that there isn't an active planned cost either, but you may want to confirm.

    The costing functionality can be a rather lengthy topic to discuss, so I will recommend that if you find time, you view the following TechTalk series that is currently ongoing from Microsoft around SCM inventory costing in detail:

    HI ,

    I Go to transactional level i found that there Sales returns with out sales orders. The same transactions i can able to see the cost is not calculating .

    OK, then by the described symptoms, the system most likely has not calculated the WAC for this item, as it did not have any inbound receipts from purchase orders or prior inventory journals where a cost price has been assigned
