Can I remove solutions that are old in CRM?

When I am in CRM 2016 and go into All Solutions, I see a lot of old solutions that have been created.  I am sure these take up space...can they be deleted with no impact to the system?  Some are managed and some are unmanaged.

    Hi,

    If you remove Managed solution.. it will remove all components and data also, so you cannot delete managed solutions. but unmanaged solutions you can remove. those will not delete any components or data associated with it.

    Is there a way to see the size of each solution without having to export them?

    I don't think so there is any way to find out size of each solution..

    In unmanaged solutions .. just links to actual components.. but managed solution will contains all components.
