G/L Entries Report

Our auditor wants us to give them all our G/L Entries in 2013 - is there a faster way to pull the information into Excel. I think since the data is quite big - Excel might not be able to handle this due to the limitation on the number of lines we can export to Excel. Can we have it exported out as Text File.

Will Jet Report be able to handle pulling all the G/L Entries for the year or do we have to run it monthly?

Are you sure your auditor wants the detail G/L transactions? Or the trial balance? Seems weird that auditors would want to go through every entry in the G/L entry.

To get the data out, the most straight forward way is to create a Dataport or XMLport. These methods will not have transaction limitations.

    Hi Berlinda:

Alternatively, you can run the G/L entries thru Jet by filtering range of G/L accounts.  You can create a GL account no. filter on your options page.

    Hope this helps.

    Thanks/

    You have two options:

-filtering range month by month and export GL Entry to Excel

    -create Dataport/XMLport (as Alex said)

You can use Jet or something else, but if you want all entries, you need to use filtering...

If you are on sql  you can from excel connect directly to sql and extract the gl entry table much faster.   You could also open SQL studio management and run a query there and save the result in tab delimited  file that they can open with excel.
