Behaviour of the Dynamics 365-app voor Outlook and major difference in performance

Hi,

does anybody recognize the following behaviour and hopefully nows how to solve it. I have tested it on two completely different production instances, with one similarity, both where upgraded from 8.2 to 9.

While unpinned, it does the correct lookup, but when pinned, and you go from one email to the following, you get the personal dashboard instead of the lookup of the contact:

With a plain vanilla sandbox version 9, it performs like a rocket and pinned, it stays on the correct screen (lookup of the contact):

Thanks!

Jos

Hi, i fixed it with some help of MS:

    1. Navigate to Dynamics 365 Web Client

    2. In Web Client, navigate to Settings -> Customizations -> Customize the System

    3. In the pop-up window, the user should then use the left-hand side pane to navigate to Apps

    4. In the Apps page, the user should double-click the Dynamics 365 App for Outlook row

    5. In the App Designer new window, the user should then double-click the Site Map button

    6. In the new Site Map page, there will be a list of Activities; ensure the top-most activity is Dashboards

    7. Click on the Dashboards item; a Properties pane should then be available on the right-hand side of the screen. In the Properties pane, under Default Dashboard, select App for Outlook Dashboard

    8. Select Save

    9. Select Publish

With us the default dashboard was setting was ok, still i saved the configuration an published it and now it is working like expected.

I hope this will solve your problem.

    Kind regards,

    Jos

Darren, we are working with MS with this at the moment. I'll keep you up to date.

    Hi

Yes I've seen this too - do not have a fix for it though
