Hi,

I have installed MS Dynamics AX 4.0 on Windows Server 2012 (+MS SQL 2014) and AX is running very well. The only thing I'm not happy with are taskbar icons within AX (see screenshot).

I tried differend windows "theme's": windows 7, classic, XP, ... but the icon problem is still there.

THX for help

    Hi Tom,

Use the Options form to set a variety of user options in Microsoft Dynamics AX

(Administration > Users > User options). Check for display option and check large icon.

    Hi Tom!!

Did you use compatibility mode on SQL 2014 to load the AX 4 database?

Does it work well in Windows 2012? Any hints to install it myself?

Thanks in advance for your help!

    Hi Marvin,

Did you have the answer? I need to know if it possible to use the SQL 2012 and 2016 with Axapta 4.0. And about the Windows Server... the Axapta 4.0 is compatible with Windows Server 2012 and 2016?

    Thanks!

Mainstream support for AX 4.0 SP2 ended in 2007, therefore you can't expect products like SQL Server 2016 being supported. Which doesn't say that it can't work, just that you won't get any guarantee.
