Advanced find error with IE 8 on Windows 7

Hello,

with IE 8 on Windows 7 the internet explorer window freeze if I choose values for a pickup field in the advanced find dialog. A colleague gets an unexpected crm error. With IE 8 on Windows XP everything works fine. I've tested several systems with different patch level (update rollup 1, 3 and 5). The same error occurs on all systems. Gets anyone the same error? Has anyone a solution?

Kind regards,

Uwe K.

    Addition:

If I add a picklist value in an existing view the error doesn't occur.

If I close the freezed window the standard warning message "Are you sure you want to navigate away from this page?" occurs.

I'm experiencing the same problem.  This is on the RTM build of Windows 7.  We are on rollup 5 with CRM 4.0

I have the same error occurring.

    I am on Win 7, rollup 9 and IE8.

The same thing happens in Outlook Client.

When I hover the mouse over the field, the hover shows the value that I have selected.

Has anyone solved this?  Is there a patch to fix it?

I can not recreate the problem in XP Compatability Mode with IE6 - but I don't want to do that every time I need to use advanced find.

    thanks

    Hank

    Hi Baris,

Yes, I have tried including CRM in the Compatability View settings in IE8 and get the same result.

Have you been able to recreate the error?

    cheers

    Hank

Also I'm using Windows 7 and IE 8 with same rollup but I didn't get this error.

What is the language and regional settings of your CRM and Windows 7?

    Hi Baris,

the language and regional settings of all our CRM systems are german / Germany. The latest installed rollup is update rollup 9.

On my current Windows 7 installation (german, 64bit) the IE8 crashes if I test the scenario. The system is fully patched.

    Kind regards,

    Uwe K.

    Hi Baris,

We have not applied any language packs to CRM. Format settings are English (Australia).

Win 7 Format is English (Australia) Region is Australia.

    cheers

Did you try the reset all IE8 settings. And did you add crm url to trusted sites.

After those steps this problem didn't solve I will be open a bug case to CRM Team.
