    Hi,

Calculation groups are here to calculate a markup (sales price) against the cost price calcuated for your manufactured item.

Cost price model define the way you take into account the cost price for your raw materials/components

Item cost price  : base on the active cost price (from the costing version of your item). Usually when using standard costs.

Item purchase price  : active purchase price of the item, price setup on the item itself

Trade agreement : if you have active trade agreement for your item

Inventory price  : use the current cost price of the item calculated on the fly according to the inbound transactions. Works for LIFO / FIFO â€¦ valuated items.

If the Policy chosen does not result with Something you can setup and alternative Policy.
No difference with a manual production order or a one linked to a project.

    Hi Yohann Rolland,

    Thanks for your  valuable comment.

I have used the item cost price option in calculation group and manually fixed the price for Raw material and finished goods.

while estimation of production order, AX consider the manual cost.

while ending the production order, AX consider the weighted average cost not the manual cost we fixed . you can view this cost in "on hand inventory form".

My requirement is I want to transfer the finished goods to the project in a price manually fixed in finished goods master.  FYI I am using Project production order.

    Production Postings:

I have fixed the finished goods price 150 and expect the costing entry for 150. but I am not getting this output, system is picking the weighted average cost ( 23.181) for costing entry.

kindly let me know the way to fulfill my requirement.

    Hi,

Costing version calculation is just a tool that helps you define a standard cost. When you use standard cost for manufactured item, companies have their own rules to define the standard cost. Sometimes using costing calculation can be usefull.

If you have setup your manufactured item with active standard cost, you should get the calculated cost when doing the estimation and the standard cost when ending the production order.

Can you double check the item model group of your manufactured item ?

    Hi Yohann Rolland,

    Thank you for your suggestion.

I have made mistake on item model group. In item model group there is a  button called Fixed receipt price, we have to check this check box to transfer the material  from production site to project site in manually fixed price in finished goods.

To use this option, we have to  link fixed price profit GL code  in item group setup.

This option help me to fulfill my requirement .

    Thanks and Regards,

    Deva
